NO SCANS: we are not providing scans on this group. We have sold similar train slides already and people mentioned good comments before..check our comments area to prove that.
We describe accurately the train system ( NYC), the city, the car types and years of the photos and the locations by line or boroughs.

Description:
This is a group of 10 rare and original slides to show subway trains in the New York City subway system, NYCTA.  These only show mostly R-44 and similar R46 type of subway cars in their original design and not rebuilt.
The R44 cars are not in service in 2022 in NYC.
The rebuilt R46 cars are still in used in some areas now in 2022, they look much different compared to how they were in the 1970's.
The photos are from the early days when R44 cars first arrived in service in 1971 and thru the 1970's to 1979.  There is only one photo of R46 model type cars running on the GG train in Brooklyn..all these cars are in the silver and blue outside color pattern, no Bicentennial color cars are shown.
There are some photos of R44 cars being tested on middle tracks in Brooklyn and also on the LIRR tracks at Shea Stadium in Queens, very unusual spot for any NY subway cars to be.   Plus one photo of new R44 cars in Staten Island.
This is a variety of cars in regular service and also on track tests.
This group has trains shown at locations in Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and Staten Island in one photo.
There are no older car types shown in any photos.  No fantrips or yard photos.
The years of the photos are only from 1971 to 1979.
Most of the photos are in regular service other than the track testing photos.
No current digital trains in this group, all original design. Especially nice when first in service.
The subway lines these cars are running on are on the:  D, E, F, GG
These are all clean and no graffiti really to mention on the outside of any cars.
There are no other BMT or IND car types in this group.

We do not make any historical notes on the slide mounts, we trust the info to be accurate in all details regarding locations and dates.
