    Description:
This is a group of 12 rare and original slides to show many different types of
letter line cars used in the New York City subway system, NYCTA.   There are different paint schemes, lines and locations in this group.  The cars are from R10's, R11's on up to R38's..
    No IRT cars are included.
There are no cars shown made prior to the R10 cars.
The photos were taken from 1967 to 1974.
There are red painted R16's and R27's and also same cars in silver & blue paint.
Also some R10 cars in the aqua and white 1960's paint design that ran into around 1972.
There are cars here shown running on the A line in Queens, rare items. Plus R16 cars in red and also in silver and blue.
The stainless steel R32 and R38 cars are not painted, they are in original design and not rebuilt.
All these cars were used on many different lines and these photos are from when they were originally delivered prior to the 1980's rebuilds that were done.  These are way before any rebuilds, in their original pattern.
Among the train lines included:  Franklin Ave shuttle in Brooklyn, A, D, EE, M, N, RR,
These are all clean trains and no graffiti is noticeable outside on any cars.
You get a good variety of these cars in different stations and shown in these boroughs:
    Brooklyn, Manhattan, and in Queens
Photos at outdoor stations:  10 total
Photos at indoor stations:   2 total
All are in regular service, except for one layup of silver and blue R10's on the B line.
No fantrips or yard photos anyplace in this group..
All these older cars are no longer used in regular service anyplace in New York City since many years ago.
Very clear photos and nice scenery for trains arriving in various stations.
We do not make any historical notes on the slide mounts, all info we trust to be accurate for dates and locations.
If you like New York City area subway transportation history, here's a good chance to load up on some excellent quality vintage originals of many BMT line R type cars in various paint colors from these years for your collection.
