Good sharp image on this 1930s real photo postcard showingthe Kennecott Company copper mine and related buildings in thetown that was called Kennecott while the mine was operating. Alsovisible are train cars of the Copper River & Northwestern Railway,which almost exclusively served the mine, transporting copper oreto Cordova for further shipment. The town's name is now McCarthy,but the mining buildings are preserved as a National Historic Landmark.Condition is "Used". Soiling and toning, edge and corner wear.Shipped with USPS First Class.
