ONLY  *46* Switzerland  2  RAPPEN  SPECIMENS ARE KNOWN
By PCGS Of ALL DATES COMBINED
The “SP” on the PCGS GRADED HOLDER stands for SPECIMEN.
These are SO RARE that BOTH PCGS and NGC have NO MINTAGE NUMBERS FOR THESE COINS!
A SPECIMEN coin has a UNIQUE FINISH and is STRUCK with GREAT CARE by the mint giving the coins much STRONGER AND DEEPER strikes with NO BAG MARKS. In the case of the 1964 U.S. SPECIMEN Strikes, the coins have a UNIQUE SATIN FINISH and in this case of the 1931 2 RAPPEN SPECIMEN, the coin has a UNIQUE DEEP MIRROR FROSTED FINISH.
DO NOT CONFUSE THIS WITH A “PR” GRADED COIN WHICH STANDS FOR PROOF. PROOFS ARE MADE FOR THE MASSES BY THE MINT. THESE ARE NOT MINTED TO SELL TO THE PUBLIC AND THAT’S WHY THERE ARE ONLY 3 KNOWN BY PCGS.

ONLY   3   1931B   2  RAPPEN   SPECIMENS  ARE KNOWN BY PCGS IN ALL GRADES  COMBINED.

2 of the 3 GRADED By PCGS are “SP65”
    * THIS COIN HOLDS THE THRONE ALONE GRADED
    PCGS SP66.
In   the   Photos  above,  I point out that in 1896, there were ONLY 20 Minted BUSINESS STRIKES of the 2 RAPPEN.  The NGC PRICE GUIDE has the worst example Graded at XF valued at ,000.
This 1931 2 RAPPEN is not a business strike, ITS EVEN BETTER as it is a SPECIMEN STRIKE and this isn’t the worst example... THIS 1931B 2 RAPPEN SPECIMEN Graded By PCGS as a SP66 is THE  ***FINEST KNOWN IN THE WORLD***
