    Description

This  fantastic weekly bulletin  was issu
    ed
by the Colonial Baking Company Baking Co. in the
    Unit
    ed
    States
as an advertising  premium for their bread and other bak
    ed
goods.   The back of the bulletin features a card featuring different breeds of Dogs.    I have not been able to find this series list
    ed
in any reference guide including Burdick’s American Card Catalogue.  This series was  issu
    ed
in  similar manner to the D2 American Airplanes  or the D6 American Indian Chiefs Series and other similar series issu
    ed
by such companies as Krugs and others.  The cards were issu
    ed
in a weekly pamphlet or bulletin form, usually print
    ed
on the back page.  These series were also usually  issu
    ed
in conjunction with an album that the child could keep the cards in once they had been cut out from the pamphlet (although none are mentioned in this Bulletin).  In this case the inner pages feature advertising for specials at the bakery and also lists a recipe as well.  The attraction to non-sports card collectors is the back page which features a card from their Dog Breeds  series.  The there is a handsome black and white photographic  image of the featured dog breed and a brief written description of the breed as well.  Unfortunately the bulliten does not mention how many different breed there are in the complete series.   In this case the DOG featured is a RUSSIAN WOLFHOUND aka a BORZOI
    .
The pamphlet measures 6 ½  inches by just under 3 5/8  inches approximately.   The bulletin is free from creases or tears, and is fully intact.  I think it displays nicely.  I have scann
    ed
the front cover and the back pages fully open,   fairly large for you to be able to judge condition for yourself
Because I believe that this series was intend to be cut out and collect
    ed
, and that it is print
    ed
on thin paper stock,  I imagine that not many surviv
    ed
fully intact and in nice collectable condition.
    This is a scarce series.
I  will be trying to list several  EARLY TRADE & TYPE CARDS over the next few days (spread across different categories),
including one or two that are unrecorded in any guide, that were put given away with Tobacco, Caramel, Candy, Gum, Chocolate, Bread Coffee Tea Cereal and other products, covering such diverse subjects as Native American Indians , Baseball , Football, Boy Scouts, Ice Hockey, Golf, Presidents of the United States, NCAA and IVY League Colleges and Universities and Circus themes.  To view the other cards I have up on ebay please click  on the “View Sellers other Items” Icon located on this page. It will take you directly to them.
I am actually located in Canada just across the border.  I have a U.S.A. mailing address, and I mail my items from the USA to avoid border delays.
Due to my work schedule and distance to the post office I am only able to ship  Monday Mornings
.  If I haven’t received payment for an item the EVENING BEFORE Monday  the item will have to wait until the next Monday  to go out. Its unfortunate but unavoidable.  If this doesn’t work for you I respectfully ask that you do not bid or buy. Thanks again.
I will COMBINE SHIPPING within Canada and the USA on items of similar size that are sold on the same day.
I am sorry but ebay's global shipping program does not allow combined shipping on International shipments.
