    Description

You are bidding on an ANTIQUE roll sign from an R1 through R9 class New York Subway car.
There were 1702 cars in this series. It took almost 10 years and three different contractors to complete the jobs - The American Car and Foundry, Pullman Standard, and The Pressed Steel Car Company.  There were 2 signboxes on each car.  Each signbox had 3 different rollsigns: The upper & middle were for destinations & the lower was for routes.  This was the upper or number 1 rollsign.
There are tape repairs made by the TA that show up in red (why they used red is beyond me).   There is also some side tearing.  Please see pictures for condition.
Please see the photos for the destinations.
The section measures approximately 22" wide x 11 1/2 feet long. It is made of black vellum with white letters.
    This sign is in
    6/10
    condition. Please review the photos.
Great for bar or restaurant, dorm room, den, etc.  Makes a unique gift that you can't buy at Sears or Target (leave the wife a hint LOL).  Truly a museum quality antique.  Own a piece of New York history!
This item will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail within the United States.
