1960s IND/BMT R-27 Stainless Steel Passenger Grab Handle Strap Hanger

You are bidding on a unique, antique New York BMT (Brooklyn-Manhattan Transit) IND Stainless Steel Passenger Grab Handle. This Strap Hanger came from a R-27/30 car of the NY subway, which were built starting in 1960. There were over 550 built. The last of them were retired and scrapped in the 1980s. A few still exist as part of the New York City Transit Museum.
This handle measures 18 inches by 5 inches by 2 3/8 inches.
This handle is in good used condition.  Some dirt & a small bit of surface rust.

This sign would be great for bar or restaurant decoration, dorm room, den, etc. Also makes that one of a kind gift - you can't find this at Sears or Target. Have fun touring old New York. Own a piece of New York history!
