Antique Royal Staircase Flatbed Typewriter Model 5 RARE Refreshed

Up for auction is this beautiful rare Royal Flatbed Typewriter Model 5.

The Royal 1 Standard was Royal's first typewriter and the machine that launched an iconic typewriter brand. The Number 5 is the second of the Royal "flatbed" standards. It had a longer, flatter layout when compared to other machines. It was originally introduced in 1906. Many of these machines have been lost over the years, and they are rare today. The Royal flatbed is considered a "must" for many typewriter collectors today.
This typewriter has been thoroughly cleaned and is in overall good shape but it still needs some work if you want to bring it back to pristine condition. The keys type but the carriage doesn't progress. It needs spools and ribbon. The carriage does move manually so it's not completely stuck. The decals have been replaced with decals from the highly respected decals from Paul Robert/Typewriter Decal Shop but it still needs new decals on the sides.
Unfortunately, I do not have more time to spend on this gem because I have so many typewriters to put on the market. I purchased a large collection and this is just a hobby!
For that reason, I am listing this one at a reasonable price considering it's potential value if in excellent condition.
