Longer Chrome with Clear Bottom End Steampunk Sonic Screwdriver and Med Brown Line Carved  Holster Set
is a pair of products that showcase imagination and use of recycled and scrap pieces—the centerpiece of the steampunk movement.   This Sonic  Screwdriver  portion is inspired by Dr Who or but is much larger. longer and clunkier  utilizing appliance parts, telescope bits, medical supplies, and other decorative elements found in my  box of assorted pieces.  The main shaft is a metal tube from an old telescope topped off by a couple of appliance knob parts. Painted gold and distressed burguncy with the clear dispenser from a nebulizer.    The “Screwdriver” also resembles a Steampunk LIghtsaber, measuring 13.25” long with the main shaft 3” circumference while the “gear” look knob is 5” circumference and the clear pointer end is 4.375” in circumference
The unique weapon/tool rests in a line carved reddish brown holster –the main body  of the holster has naturally occurring edges that were cut to fit the long lines of the screwdriver/saber, then line carved vertically.  The upper  and lower supports both  wrap entirely around the holster and are line carved diagonally for a truly “jedi” look utilizing larger nickle line snaps as closures.  These supports and back loop are handsewn on with tough black waxed braided cord and reinforced with tanner’s glue and rivets.  The holster measures 1” long x3.5” at the widest (where the ring is) and will fit on a belt up to 4” wide.    If you look at the open shot of the holster you will see two burgundy elastic loops which are used to hold the weapon in place.  This holster is large enough to hold many actual working lightsabers while the smaller brown elastic loop can support smaller weapons.
