Classic Delta Leather Pin from Sci Fi Fave Takes a Steampunk Turn Back in Tim
e (costume is for display).  Add an “antenna” for long distance and a wind up key for power , with military, gears, buttons, rivets, lace and other insignia and this pin cut from 3 pieces of leather takes the iconic symbol (the Greek letter Delta) that graces the uniform of every Starfleet officer into that realm of Steampunk and boldly goes where no anachronism has gone before.
I create each pin individually so no pin is ever exactly the same.

Every pin relates to a character or office aboard a spaceship, so most decorations relate to that idea (a wrench with bolts and/or screws on the engineering badges, for example) , however the three pieces of leather are standard—a handcut dark brown or burgundy under delta, an oxblood scalloped edge concho, and a contrasting handcut,
smaller
metallic gold delta.
Additionally each gold delta shape is graced with
a hand stitched
peaked
line of black
sinew,
a gear under the non-functioning windup key which have been glued in place, and the black lace chevron, points, or other shaped decorationL  these are standard to every pin.
Pins measure approximately
4-1/8” L X 3-1/4” W and have a depth of about ¾.
The
pin back is hand stitched to brown cloth, then attached to the leather with sturdy E3000 glue.
This is simply a decorative piece and none of the parts are intended to function, nor will you be able to contact your airship by simply tapping your chest.
