Perhaps 1 in 100 of the Baby/Rocket Hermes typewriters have cursive type slugs, they are scarce and this puppy is a unicorn still having its Hermes ribbon spools. I do not believe that this machine was used enough to wear out its factory-installed ribbon, given its condition. This beauty has been cleaned and re-adjusted to factory specs. The feed rollers are pristine and there is no wear throughout the mechanism. The typewriter body has 100% original color from the factory and the machine has been thoroughly tested and a brand new 2-color black and red cotton ribbon is freshly installed on the Hermes spools. Whoever owns this will enjoy years of trouble-free operation. The machine inside has been lovingly used and cared for as you can see in the pictures. I'd rate it cosmetically a 9+ on a 10 scale - almost a collector's item and a workhorse that is ready to serve another 50 years of duty. The iconic Baby Hermes has nicely rounded corners and a nifty lid that snaps down over the machine onto a base upon which the typewriter sits. The hard case is in very good condition with only a few scuffs and scrapes and dings and a single small crack on the right rear which has been properly repaired. You can see in the pictures 50 years' worth of care, the machine inside has been hardly used and not abused - it is exceptionally clean!
