Description

Our existing customers highly prize the accuracy of historical reproduction and professional service.Presented gown is made in late XVIII century manner. It has bib front and train.
Skirt is gathered evenly around the raised waistline. Lining is to be pinned over corset or bodiced petticoat. Gown is made of white sheer cotton. Fabric is very delicate and firm in touch. Bodice is lined with cotton. Sleeves are elbow length. Neckline is gathered and quite broad. It is closed on the shoulders with two buttons.
Main decoration of this empire dress is cotton satin ribbon around the waist.
It is hand stitched outfit.
This type of dresses were popular in late 18th century. Tailoring of this dress was based on extant examples. White colour was the most fashionable at that time.
It is suitable for daywear as well as for eveningwear.
Measurements:
Dress is about modern M size but it can be adjusted for both smaller and bigger size.
Bodice can be pinned tighter or looser because it is coverer by bib with ribbon tied on back.
