Description
For bid from the Maya Tzotzil of Zinacatan Chiapas Mexico is this wonderful hand woven on a back strap loom colorful black background with multi colored flowers that is worn as a skirt tied at the waist. They are worn with a sash tied at the waist. The seam could be opened and this could be a straight piece of fabric that can be worn, displayed on a wall or used to cover a table. Here is a chance to own an embroidered, hand woven work of art and at the same time help keep alive this wonderful artisan work. The income of these people is through weaving, embroidery and flower raising. Thanks for looking and please check out my other weavings now and yet to come , listed under asummerlovexoxo. This fabric or skirt measurers 34 inches long and is 66 inches from the seam around the item to the seam. Shown is what it would look like if worn as a skirt, with views of both the front and the back. Also shown is a view of the entire front held open with out the waist tied. Hope this helps. The additional photos are from the blue skirt which is the same except for color and flowers. Thanks.
