Larger Unique Klingon with Gears Handcarved Ribbed Brown Leather Steampunk Pouch
for the extreme trek adventurer is a one of a kind fun way to disguise your modern necessities on a day of carousing at your favorite festival or costumed event.  For many years, my Klingon friends have requested a Steampunk version of their favorite costumes and this pieces is my first address of the request.  The handcrafted Klingon gribbly is formed with the metal clay then kiln fired by a local Denver artist who contributed this design to the project.  I placed the design on a simple rib carved leather pouch dyed brown, then added the pair of metal "gear" buttons around the design and completed the piece by adding rivets and studs around the edge of the flap.  The flap is finished with black fabric attached to the inside and is held shut by a hidden magnetic bag clasp.
This pouch is a rounded box-like piece, line carved and the side seams are stitched, wrapped with waxed cord then reinforced with tough tanner’s bond--the back loop is stitched and glued as well as riveted on.  The project which measures 5.75" L X 6" W X 1.25" D will accommodate cellular devices up to 6" long and several other personal items like cards, keys, chapstick, etc as shown.  It will fit on belts and straps up to 3.5" wide, so it is versatile enough to work for many different looks.  Please measure all belts and your cellular device to make sure they will fit, because unlike many of my projects this one truly is one of a kind and the little "klingon" letter is not available again.
