    Description

To call this thing ass-heavy is an understatement. I wore this ONCE this Halloween this year and decided to make an entirely different one next year, but this took a lot of time and effort and needs a good forever home with someone who has more occurrences to wear than I do. It is what I think I've decided to call a 'wardrobe in one'. There will (eventually) be ten pieces that come in the set and six are shown now. The bllue skirt, blue front apron, blue back bustle,
blue and black butt bow (Yes I know it's technically called 'peplum' but I like the words bustle butt bow) bodice, and detachable sleeves (they snap in along the bottom and designed to fall off the shoulders) Not pictured because I haven't made them yet though the pieces are cut out are: the black velvet front apron, black velvet back bustle, blue "day" jacket with long sleeves, sweetheart neckline second bodice and probably another butt bow of some sort, it's still in my head right now. Maybe a shirt with the jacket I dunno. (This is a long description discussion/social experiment >.<)
This set was stitched almost entirely by hand for extra support, I don't skimp on quality when it comes to beads, so this is a whoppin' 13 pounds of dress, here. It's meant to go over an English bustle cage style circa 1885 Honestly it doesn't really even need a bustle for anything except weight distribution and support in general of this whoppin' 13 pounds of dress because the cascading I put on the back. is poofy enough on the backside of itself and much easier to sit down in. It will also work with a much smaller roll or sewing/pinning/tying up the back. Customer decides. That will keep the train off the ground and prevent you from clotheslining yourself. The weight of this damn thing was the entire reason most of it was done by hand. It's heavy, but STURDY.
The bodice has a built in corset. Because of the expense for beads/trimming and the time spent making it (eight months) I'm listing the entire set at 1200 (10 pieces. Skirt, apron. bustle, bow, bodice...an extra bodice....and a black velvet bustle and training kennel) or 950 for just the six I got now. I'm terrible at pricing. (Yes, my dummy is tilted. I am in much need of new one) I tailored the dress to fit ME exactly, but it can still be adjusted a touch. The bodice and skirt both have a waist of 36. (laces closed)The bust is 40 but can be let out . Iron on LOW HEAT ONLY or the sequins will melt all over the place and ruin the entire piece. Or...so I've heard. That's certainly never happened to me. Also because of the expense, I'm more than happy to work out a payment plan by pricing the individual pieces on direct sale that will not require the entire amount at once but WILL have free shipping.
