escription:
Lot of 3 each of original New York City subway system rollsign sections used on side destination area to be inside subway cars for the numbered lines- IRT division..
These New York subway cars that are now long scrapped and not in use.
We do not have the full entire rollsign, only this small segment cut from the original.
There are 3 different train stations shown. There is one panel that has Bowling Green
and Chamber Street on the same piece, uncut.
NOTE:
The piece for Wall Street is by itself, cut from the rest of the larger rollsign and not connected.
In the photo, it seems like it's one large panel for all 3 stations, it's not.
These are all train stations in lower Manhattan of New York, on IRT division lines.
This was from a 1940's made rollsign for IRT division subway cars, now long since scrapped and these signs are very rare to get.
.If you like IRT train lines, this would be a good decorative item for a wall and to frame.
