MTA NYC Transit - Cloth Money/Token Bag Seals
Offered for sale are rare, hard to find Cloth Money/Token Bag Seals. When a Token Booth Clerk's tour of duty was completed, they would "bag up" unused tokens and/or money and have to drop them in a safe. This historic piece of New York City Transit memorabilia was the authorized way to properly seal the cloth bags. Features N.Y.C.T.A. text depressed into the metal. These were used after the bags were tied and folded to seal and secure the bag. Item(s) are in new and unused but, they are old stock and show some minor discoloration and wear from being stored. I had a few more of these but, sadly they rust extremely easily and the others were compromised and just disposed of.
