    If your carriage does  not move when you type, and the cord at the back of the machine is missing here is a factory style replacement that still allows the removal of the carriage for maintenance and adjustments,without manually disconnecting  the draw cord.
    Your purchase includes,  a high strength braided nylon draw cord and copy of an original clip (in the same thickness of metal) made in brass  for Oliver models 2, 3 & 5.  Each is handmade and then test-fit on an Oliver 5. THANKS FOR LOOKING.
