original Kodachrome 64 slide of
NYC subway R-44 132, 176, 248, R-62a #1909 (damaged in Hunts Point derailment) & Union Square wreck car #1439 (#1439 was the second car of the Union Square wreck train) on a scrap barge which has just left 207 St. Yard in upper Manhattan on Monday, March 19, 2001. NYCTA R-44 equipment was retired in 2010 due to severe frame and body rot.
