1967 HERMES ROCKET RESTORED VINTAGE PORTABLE TYPEWRITER
The Hermes Rocket was the IPAD of its time. The Swiss have long been revered for their precision and attention to detail. The hemes typewriters all live up to that reputation. The attention to detail and fit and finish of these typewriters are unmatched. Using a variety of metals in construction the Rocket is still one of the lightest portable around. The Hermes Baby/Rocket series was introduced in 1935 and was an instant success Lightweight, versatile, and portable, it works for the busy professional or student. Used by many of the most famous and prolific writers of our time, the Hemes Rocket has a wide and ardent following .

The designer of the Hermes was Paillard, a company from Yverdon, Switzerland. This company spent years researching how they could improve the current typewriter design. After dissecting many of the current models, they were able to add features to the typewriter that made the Hermes typewriter one of the top models to own.
Many writers often preferred the Hermes typewriters to others because of the quality pages they produce. Larry McMurty, a well known screen play writer and author of
Broke Back Mountain
even thanked his Hermes typewriter when he received an award. “Most heartfelt, I thank my typewriter. My typewriter is a Hermes 3000, surely one of the noblest instruments of European genius.”
This particular gem was produced in the 1976. ITS A RARE ORANGE RED TECHNO PICA MODEL It has been completely restored to include:
1) We rate the typewriter before any service is done. This unit came to us in very good to excellent condition.
2)The typewriter is completely taken apart Then each piece is cleaned by hand. Damaged or worn parts are replaced with new, or identical parts
TYPE SET MECHANISM
3) The typewriter is reassembled, and it is tested for 30 minutes of continuous typing. Any final adjustments are made and it is ready for another 50 years of service

3) WE GET MANY TYPEWRITERS IN WEEKLY THAT HAVE BEEN "REFURBISHED" BY OTHER SELLERS.  ASK FOR PICTURES THAT PROVE IT WAS REALLY REFURBISHED

You left two indications the carriage was locked for packing and I had the words I needed to unlock it gently and properly.
