Red Hot!! - Cleaned and Serviced Typewriter - Ready to Write - Video!!
I collect and restore manual typewriters and do reviews of them with my kids on our Typewriter Minutes YouTube channel. We are proud to sell this chili-red 1968 Sears Courier, which is a rebranded Olivetti Lettera 22. Light weight. Snazzy. Full featured, including key-set tabulator and pop-up paper supports. Very snappy touch. This machine has been disassembled, chemically cleaned, very lightly oiled in the proper places, and tuned and adjusted. This typewriter had lots of goo and fuzz and eraser shavings when we got it. Now it’s super clean. The keys and platen knobs have been cleaned and sanitized. It has a fresh new black and red ribbon with eyelets installed for the ribbon-reverse system. Typewriter is in fantastic shape, with very few scuffs. The rubber feet are still soft. The rubber platen and feed rollers have been cleaned to remove decades of slick oil and ink buildup and are all in good shape. I also did some minor tuning and adjustments. Comes with the original blue vinyl case, which is in great shape, original instruction manual, and a rubber or cork typewriter pad. This typewriter would make an excellent graduation gift for an aspiring author, or a surprise birthday gift. And by the way, kids love typewriters! Introduce your kids to the tactile experience of something other than a touch screen, and watch them marvel at how it works. Available for review locally at public spot in Southlake/Grapevine.
