    Description

Typewriter of the type-bar class. It is a Remington Standard No.7, manufactured by Wyckhoff, Seamans & Benedict of Ilion, New York, U.S.A. The machine is an upstroke design, with the typebars arranged in a vertical circular basket.
Black-finished metal frame with gold decoration. Type-bars arranged in vertical circular basket with cylindrical platen on top. 1.5 inch (38 mm) ribbon carried between spools on horizontal axes. QWERTY keyboard with four rows of keys plus two shift keys.
On frame in front of type-bar basket, in gold lettering: "REMINGTON STANDARD TYPEWRITER / Manufactured by / WYCKOFF, SEAMANS & BENEDICT, ILION, NEW YORK, U.S.A." On frame below keyboard, in gold lettering: "Remington Standard Typewriter No. 7".
Not fully functional because the planten does not rotate. Keys work cleanly without sticking and carriage advances. I have a tin top that is not marked Remington but has the same pin stripping on the typewriter. No wooden base.  Table not included.
