Remington (Monarch) Pioneer 1932 typewriter for display/repair case, dust cover
I scored a lot of great stuff at a recent estate/auction farm/farmhouse sale in Beaver County, PA, and this is one of them. Cosmetically terrific, but not working. But all the parts are there, and it is very repairable. The return string is broken (a common flaw, a common repair), and the keys have a great touch to them, and seem to be working fine. The bottom plate to the machine is loose because the fasteners/grommets have dried out, but that is also an easy fix.
The great things are: Great finish, no rust, no scratches, great color. Also has original case, but it is not in great condition, with missing handle. The  most interesting thing about this package, to me, is: It has its original dust cover! Still flexible, still usable. Ready to display, as I said, or could be restored to working condition.
Interesting note: This model/year usually has a decal that says "Monarch Pioneer," but this piece only says "Pioneer." The backplate identifies it as a Remington machine, made in Buffalo, NY. I don't know if the decal-designation here means scarce or it's just transitional between corporate owners and factory locations.
Conditioned as in the pictures--and pretty as the pictures.
INSURANCE is included in the final shipping price.
The typewriter you see in this auction is the ACTUAL TYPEWRITER you will receive if you are the winner of this auction.
Thanks.
