Description
An original Kodachrome 35 mm slide, in original cardboard mount, of SEPTA Bridge St. car #1009 at the Fern Rock Station of the Broad St. subway line, Philadelphia, PA. Taken on Nov. 9, 1980 by Douglas N. Grotjahn. These cars were built in 1936 for the Delaware River Bridge Line and were sold to PTC when the line was converted to PATCO. These were a luxurious type of subway car with leather seats.Text on scan does not appear on actual slide.
