UNDERWOOD 4 BANK PORTABLE TYPEWRITER CIRCA 1929 W/ CASE - NICE WORKING CONDITION

Up for auction is this wonderful antique Underwood Portable 4 bank keypad typewriter.  The piece comes with its original fitted case.  We could not locate the serial number on this machine but our research has indicated that they were made from about 1925 to about 1930 or so.  It seems to be in good working order but we are not experts, so we are selling it as found.  The typewriter itself is in nice cosmetic condition but could use a cleaning as it is dusty underneath (see pictures).  All keys well intact.  Fully marked on the lower front (not pictured) "UNDERWOOD PORTABLE".  Also marked on the lower back "UNDERWOOD PRODUCT OF UNDERWOOD ELLIOT FISHER CO. PROTECTED BY UNITED STATES AND FOREIGN PATENTS  MADE IN U.S.A.".  The original fitted case has wear, especially on corners and handle but is well intact with working locking clasp, although we do not have the key.  We have the leather lining piece that is off the handle which can be reattached by the buyer (the handle, though, is still quite viable as is!).  The case does have a musty smell, but not the typewriter itself!  We have tried to describe the piece as in depth as possible but please see accurate pictures for more complete descriptions.  The typewriter measures about 10 inches X 9 1/2 inches and 5 3/4 inches high.  A great and quite hard to find model in nice shape offered with NO RESERVE!!
