Vintage 1956 NY City Subway R-21 Interior Ceiling Light Fixture Electrified
This item came from the IRT (Interborough Rapid Transit) R-21 cars built in 1956 by St. Louis Car Company.
These fixtures were used on all NYC Transit Authority cars from 1955 until 1965.
Fixture originally had DC florescent tubes.  This fixture has a 110V LED strip light inside which is able to be dimmed.
This item is 8 3/4 inches wide by 6 feet
long.   Weighs approximately 32 pounds.
Marking on back reads L10638.  Dated 1 24 56.
In used condition.  Please see the photos for condition.
