Presented here is a fabulous vintage dress handmade for theater, reenactment or costuming. This is made of volumes of metallic bronze crinkle pleated fabric, it has a front panel of organdy embellished with a gold sparkle floral design, the ornate sleeve linings are matching organdy. The bodice laces up the front with gold cord. The inner bodice is separate but attached together at the back zipper, it a creamy yellow-gold heavy silky satin with long sleeves, it has fitted elastic cuffs with ruffled edges finished with metallic gold stitching. The bronze sleeves are full with cascading cuffs, they fit over the inner sleeves. The skirt is double, the bronze flowing overskirt is layered over a black underskirt with the organdy front panel that shows. It has an old metal zipper down the back. This dress was probably made mid century, the fabric appear to me to be around 1970s.  The gown has been dry cleaned, it still has the dry cleaning tag attached. The size is large, measures; waist 34", bust 40" under arms 42", shoulders 19" across seams, length from shoulder to hem 62". The sweep on the black under skirt is 168", the bronze pleated skirt is too
voluminous
to get a measurement on with the pleats.
The matching bonnet is moon shaped, it is 13" across the front opening measured flat, it is 5" high center. It has an attached flowing veil of metallic bonze color fabric which is 34" long by 26" wide. It has an attached black elastic chin strap
.
Excellent vintage condition, clean, sturdy, no tears, there is one light color stain on one cuff of the satin blouse which does not show when worn. This is an absolutely fabulous costume! The fabrics are exquisite.
