Vintage Moreschi Piano Accordion 41/120 two register, pearl, with case. I bought it at a flea market about 10 years ago, and have gotten a lot of use out of it. I am not playing as much as I used to and am finally ready to sell it. See a video here: https://youtu.be/hAGin80wk_8 .You'd think I'd be better after owning this for a decade :(This is an OLD accordion. I emailed the Moreschi company and reply I got back from stated that it is very old, before they have records.
Here is the good news:
- all the notes play
- it sounds and looks beautiful
- it has the original case is included.
- vintage vibes: it gets extra vintage cred being build before the manufacturer's kept record.
- the bellows are in good shape, especially for the age of the accordion.
The bad news:
- not all of the double notes play readily (they require more volume). This is a simple fix and could be a matter of cleaning the reeds, but I don't have the time now.
- The straps are work and both have broken at the top. One I had replaced a few years ago, the other broke recently and is attached with a bit of paracord.
- The mesh over the treble reeds is damaged in three places.
- the celluoid is mildly warped in a few places. Par for the course with an instrument of its age, but worth noting nonetheless. Doesn't effect functionality.
