    Description

    Vintage
    New York Subway
Porcelain Train Station Sign (circa 1930s)
from the IND Liberty Avenue Station in Brooklyn .
This sign would have been hanging on
the metal beams separating the local
    and express tracks,
    facing the station platform
    in and for public view.
    Measures 13 x 14 inches.
Condition as acquired and shown in photos.
Please note the sign has large porcelain chips and bend off the bottom left side of the sign
    ,
as can be seen in photos.
Paint overlay, likely from one or more pillar post paintings that ran on to the sign long ago, may be removable
by the next buyer, should he or she wish to do so.
This sign is being offered as is, as a unique and lower cost alternative in owning a vintage porcelain subway sign.
